A day in life with Camille:
I am very proud because I was able to be in the all star swim meet. In fact, I woke up as shaky as a snake, even though I new I would do wonderful. That day, I would be swimming breaststroke and backstroke. I was in event 30 and event 44. Soon enough, it was time for me to go to "chairs."  Chairs are where you are seated in rows of six, according to what lane you are in. In a blink of an eye, it was time for me to swim. My first event was breaststroke, which is my favorite and fastest stroke. Before I knew it, I was up on the diving block, ready to go!
Me all ready to go!

The announcer yelled into the speaker "Step up, take your mark" and the buzzer went off! I zoomed down the pool as fast as I could. Before I could think, I touched the wall. I came in third place. I hopped out of the pool, and ran over to my mom.
I am the in the third lane pictured.
We walked back to our tent, and waited for my next event, which was backstroke. I was anxious waiting to swim. Soon enough, I heard event 44 being called. My family all wished me good luck, and I went up to chairs. Again, it felt like time was flying by, I was in the front row so fast! Next thing you know, I was waiting for the announcer to tell us to get in the water, because you do not dive in backstroke. He told us to jump in, place our feet, take our marks, and BEEP, the buzzer went off. I was passing girl, by girl. I suddenly hit my hand, I realized I had hit the wall, and finished! I looked around to see one girl who had finished before me, all the other girls in my heat were still swimming when I finished. That meant I had gotten second place! I was so proud of myself. Again, I hopped out of the water with a smile on my face. I ran over to my parents, sister, and grandparents. They all congratulated me on a great swim. We sent my dad to get the car, and we took off. I will receive a second place ribbon, and a third place ribbon. When we got home, I showed my grandparents all the ribbons I had won from previous meets. It was a fantastic day!
Me with all my ribbons!
